Tameside Towbars & Roofracks is an NTTA 5* Quality Secured fitting centre. This status has been achieved for the workshop and general procedures within our business and we have held this status since 2018. Our fitters have attended and passed the training courses run by the NTTA and are assessed yearly in accordance with the NTTA code of practice. These standards are recognised by the Caravan Club and The Caravan and Motorhome Club. We are the only towbar fitting centre in Tameside and surrounding areas to have achieved this high standard!

We specialise in vehicle specific electrics from the industry leading manufacturers for towing electrics. We also have on-site industry leading vehicle diagnostic equipment to fully code and programme your vehicle on site. Our towbar fitters are highly trained to use this equipment and will ensure your vehicle safety systems are working to the full capabilities of your vehicle specific towing electrics.

All towbars that we supply are from industry leading towbar manufacturers built to the highest standard using the best quality paint and corrosion protection. These towbars are also tested to the highest standards for safety and our Tow-Trust range of towbars are also CARLOS tested where they simulate over 93 hours of rigorous road conditions.

Single 7 Pin Electrics

Electrics

Covers legal trailer road lights only. Bypass tails suit straightforward installs and loom-matched kits suit fussier electronics. We confirm the right approach after inspecting your car.

Twin 7 Pin Electrics

Electrics

Black and white sockets split road lighting from caravan leisure feeds. Common on many pre-2008 tourers. We finish with bypass tails or vehicle-matched wiring to suit your outfit.

One socket handles modern caravan lighting plus auxiliary loads and reversing cues on racks. Bypass is possible on some chassis but coded kits are mandatory on many newer cars. We qualify from your build sheet.
